Established in 2015, The Tanji Johnson Classic is the newest addition to the Northwest physique community. The event is promoted by the Northwest’s most decorated IFBB Pro athlete, Tanji Johnson Birdgeman at the beautiful and classic Greater Tacoma Convention Center. Tanji has served the NPC for over 20 years as a promoter, judge, coach but is most known for her success as one of the IFBB’s best Fitness athletes. Victories include the Arnold Classic, Arnold Classic Europe, Arnold Classic Aisa and runner up to the prestigious Fitness Olympia multiple times. Tanji is no stranger to the industry and is grateful for the opportunity to give back by promoting an event that is geared towards creating your best experience as a competitor. As a world champion Fitness star, Tanji’s legacy has attracted a wide range of talent and spectators. The TJC is also uniquely known for her HERO division which strives to honor our community heroes with the division that consists only of current or prior military, police, fire and medical service men and women. Tanji is a U.S. Air Force veteran and graduate of the Air Force Academy and seeks to give recognition to athletes who are serving or have served while striving for excellence in their physical fitness as well. The Tanji Johnson Classic has built a reputation for excellent contest experience through engaging staff, great organization and a show that truly cares about the athlete’s experience.
This year, the TJC will include the IFBB Tanji Johnson Pro Classic featuring the Pacific Northwest’s first ever Pro Wellness and Masters Pro Classic Physique divisions and we anticipate having our largest event to date and we are seeking your support.
